John Mills ARCA PPRBS FRSA Sculptor - Honorary Fellow at CPSC - At home in his Studio

May 02, 2020

John Mills is a Sculptor of repute whose many works include 'Blitz' The National Firefighters Memorial outside St Pauls Cathedral and Monument to the Women of World War II in Whitehall unveiled by the Queen - all 23 tons of it.

John now in his 80's still works long hours in his Studio in the garden at Hinxworth where he lives and works. The garden and studio contain replicas of his work which can be found across the world from Chatsworth House to Chelsea to New Orleans and Michigan.

Sadly, earlier this year in the stream of storms and high winds many of those sculptures in the garden suffered damage. The lockdown has given John the time to tackle all the repairs.

The photograph shows a preliminary model for 'Monument to the Women of World War II'.
