We are open 11.00 - 5.00 on Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th June as part of Suffolk Open Studios. There will be print demonstrations in both studios and the opportunity to ask questions about our courses. Our gallery will be showcasing an exhibition of original prints and lithographs from Marc Chagall, a truly great 20th century artist. All the Chagall prints exhibited will be for sale to raise funds for the Study Centre.
We will also have work from the Curwen archive featuring many other great artists of the 20th Century including Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Edward Bawden, Elisabeth Frink, John Piper, Paula Rego & Michael Rothenstein to name just a few. There will also be some prints for sale from as little as £10 plus vintage paper & cards.
In addition on Sunday June 1.00 - 5.00, Thurlow Hall just next door is opening its gardens in a beautiful setting alongside the river Stour. Tea & cake are available in the gardens. There is a charge for entering the gardens but Curwen is free entry with parking adjacent.
