Susan Aldworth Exhibition: Reassembling the Self

Apr 10, 2026

We are delighted to be showing an exhibition of lithographs by artist and Curwen Trustee Susan Aldworth from 20th April - 22nd May. Susan's innovative printmaking investigates the workings of the human mind, especially consciousness and our sense of self. Her work on the relationship between the physical brain and our sense of identity has linked her with the Art & Science movement in the UK since the late 1990s, and she is an associate lecturer on the MA Art & Science at Central St Martins. We are delighted to welcome Elenor Ling, Senior Curator of Prints & Drawings at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge to discuss Susan's with us in our Gallery space, surrounded by Susan's lithographs from the Reassembling the Self, Code & Dreaming Voices Suites. This Q & A talk is free but, please register for a place as spaces are limited. More details on booking coming soon.

Susan was one of the last artists to collaborate with Stanley Jones at the Curwen & subsequently became a Trustee of the Curwen Print Study Centre. Susan believes passionately in our mission to keep traditional printmaking skills alive for future generations and in support of that goal in these challenging times her work will be for sale at greatly reduced prices
