Open Studio afternoon and the opportunity to see the beautiful gardens at Great Thurlow Hall Sunday 12 June 2.00 - 5.00

As part of the National Open Garden Scheme, the 13 acres of beautiful gardens of Great Thurlow Hall will be open to the public. These tranquil gardens are set around the River Stour, masses of flowers blossom around the riverside walk in spring. Herbaceous borders, rose garden and extensive shrub borders come alive with colour from late spring onwards, there is also a large walled kitchen garden and arboretum to explore. You can pay on the day or you can pre-book your entrance via the National Gardens scheme website

Our studios and gallery will be open as part of the event. Signs will guide you on the very short walk from the garden to our Gallery entrance. View a selection of prints from the Curwen Archive collection, exhibited in the gallery and in special archive plan chests. Have a look around our teaching studio and artist's open access studio and see our historic presses from the 1800's. Tutors will be here to welcome you and show you around.
