Ross Loveday – Pushing the Barriers using Collagraph with Carborundum

Artist & Printmaker Ross Loveday is a self-taught painter of powerful and very personal interpretations of landscape. Whether on a large or small scale there is an extraordinary immediacy to his works which convey not so much a sense of place but the essence of a particular moment. Ross has been the recipient of the Julian Trevelyan Award and the Neo Print Prize.

Ross explains the inspiration behind his work “The fine line which separates figuration and abstraction interests me. Time, place, weather and light alongside gesture, glimpse and memory.  The subjects are only the starting points – sometimes small insignificant details or texture triggers a complete piece.”

Work with Ross exploring his unique approach to this expressive medium within your own prints.
