The Art of Drypoint: Two Days of Drawing & Printmaking with Sam Marshall
2 day course
15 & 16 September 2026
10am to 4pm
£295 including all materials
Join Artist & Printmaker Sam Marshall and spend two inspiring days exploring the expressive possibilities of drypoint printmaking. This course offers a deeper understanding of this versatile process, and an opportunity to create a small series of unique prints.
Sam studied Fine Art at the Slade School of Fine Art and completed her MA diploma at the Royal Drawing School where she now teaches. She lives in rural Northamptonshire with her miniature dachshund ‘Miss Marple’.
Sam draws inspiration from many sources – medieval margins and bestiaries, animal prints from the 1800’s, folk art, old children’s books, and real-life animals and landscapes that have something of the unusual about them. Her work is influenced by the British aesthetic of artists such as Eric Ravilious, Edward Bawden and Thomas Bewick. Her best-selling book LINOCUT book was published by Bloomsbury in 2023 and she is currently working on a book about drawing which will be published in 2026.
