Monoprinting without a press

Discover the expressive world of monoprinting—no press required! This course explores a range of creative techniques for producing unique, one-of-a-kind prints by hand.
Begin by working with A4-sized transfer drawings using Rhenalon sheets to create layered prints through masking, stencils, and textured materials. Then move on to Gelli plate printing—a fun, accessible, and spontaneous way to experiment with layering, colour, and texture using acrylic paints. Learn which paints work best, how to plan your prints, and how to ink and print effectively with a Gelli plate. You’ll also explore how to incorporate magazine or photographic image transfers, masks, and cut shapes to create dynamic, layered prints with rich visual interest.
