Masterclass in Secret Belgian Bookbinding with Helen Perry

An opportunity to learn a contemporary book structure that was developed in the 1980’s by Anne Goy. This course is taught by Helen Perry from Helen Handmade Books, a bookbinder with a passion for teaching and sharing this skills of this wonderful craft. This book combines the best of western and Japanese bindings resulting in a closed but exposed spine which lies flat when opened, making it ideal for journalling, drawing or artwork. The stitching on the cover allows the cover to turn 180 degrees so it goes back on itself making a unique feature and if sketching or journalling outside makes for a sturdy surface to work on. Ideal for your printmaking sketches, or turning your prints into an artist’s book.
