University
Links
Four
years ago our partner company the Curwen Studio signed a formal
"memorandum of co-operation" with the Winchester
School of Art, which is a department in the Faculty of Arts
at The University of Southampton. This unique partnership
enables senior students from Winchester to work alongside
the artist and printmakers at Curwen Studio. This is effectively
an "industrial link" concept which has been highly
successful. It bridges the higher educational sector with
that of a working and live environment. Since the formation
and completion of the Curwen Print Study Centre, students
from Winchester are now able to interact with both aspects
of the Curwen identity and gain further first-hand experience
of the two important aspects of creative life, with that of
continued self-expression and that of an introduction to the
mechanics of a professional creative business.
The
Curwen Print study centre is now actively working on extending
this type of higher educational experience with other universities
and art schools, both in this country and abroad.

Any age or artistic ability who would like help enhancing
or rediscovering their artistic creativity. It provides an
opportunity to kick-start creative expression or further develop
individual creativity.
Creativity is a tool that helps in all facets of working life.
