Course structures
• Explanation of the techniques with examples.
• Demonstration of tools and techniques.
• Correct preparation and use of paper.
• Inking techniques as appropriate.
• Printing using presses or hand burnishing.


Lino
Learn how to plan, cut and print a single colour image from a 150 x 150 mm square lino block.

Gelli Plate
Create layered prints using transferred magazine or photographic images, and use masks and cut shapes to add interest.

Drypoint
Using a drypoint needle, incise lines into an A5 acetate plate, and explore sanding, cutting and layering of the acetate plate to create varied and experimental prints.

Monoprinting with Textures
Use varied materials, including textured papers, leaves, feathers and fabrics, to make, combine and develop unique printed images.

Photo Plate Lithography
Create, expose and develop an A5 photo litho plate, learn how to ink up and how to print your plate using an etching press.

Polyester Plate Lithography
Explore the potential of both drawn and laser printed images using Polyester Plate Lithography, flexible lithography plates that require no chemical processing. Learn how to use a variety of media, ink up and print using an etching press.

Payment / Terms and Conditions

For all courses except CPSC Certificate course

Full payment of the course fee is required when booking a place. A reserved place is not secure until full payment has been received. If full payment is not received within 10 working days of a place being reserved, the booking will be assumed to be void.

If for any reason you are unable to attend, we will refund monies paid minus a £10.00 admin fee, as long as you cancel your place more than 10 working days before the course start date. Cancellations received less than 10 working days before a course starts will require the full course fee to be paid.

Curwen Print Study Centre reserves the right to cancel courses – a full refund will be made in these circumstances.


For CPSC Certificate course

Payment of the deposit for Term 1 is required when booking a place. A reserved place is not secure until this deposit has been received. If the Term 1 deposit is not received within 20 working days of a place being reserved, the booking will be assumed to be void. The outstanding balance for Term 1 is due before the start of Term 1.

If for any reason you are unable to attend, we will refund monies paid minus a £10.00 admin fee, as long as you cancel your place more than 20 working days before the course start date. Cancellations received less than 20 working days before a course starts will require the full course fee to be paid.

Curwen Print Study Centre reserves the right to cancel courses – a full refund will be made in these circumstances.
