Solar Plate Intaglio Taster

Solar Plate printmaking is an environmentally-friendly print process in which light-sensitive plates are exposed using daylight or an artificial source of UV light. On this introductory course, you will learn how to translate hand-drawn images, photographs and text easily and quickly into high-quality intaglio prints. You will learn how to develop the plates simply with water and print them in the same way as an etching, drypoint or any other 'intaglio' print process. By the end of the day you will have created a variable edition of 5 prints to take home.
