Jigsaw Lino

Linocut is a relief printing process in which the lino is cut away to leave an image on the remaining raised areas and it is this which is then printed. On this course you will learn how to plan and create an image using both a Key Block and a Jigsaw cut block printed together. Planning and preparing the 2 blocks simultaneously will enable you to create a composite and multi-coloured image. This way of working also allows you to recompose images, include white space and a variety of textures. By the end of the day you will have created a variable edition of 5 prints.
